Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we are pleased to invite you to our 2nd International Scientific Conference “Civilization Diseases – Causes, Treatment and Prevention”, which will be held on December 14th 2023 on our online platform.

Recent decades, in addition to the enormous progress of science and technology, have also brought a number of threats caused by changes in the lifestyles of societies, namely reduced physical activity, unhealthy nutrition, environmental pollution, increasing stress and isolation. Clearly, it can lead to cardiovascular diseases, cancer, or diabetes among others. It is noticeable that the group of people suffering from these diseases keeps expanding, as it includes not only the elderly, but also, more and more, younger people, and even children. Furthermore, the symptoms of civilization diseases affect not only bodies but also minds.

During the conference we will try to address queries such as What is our impact on the development of civilization diseases, and how can we protect ourselves against them? How to diagnose to accurately determine a disease and apply effective treatment? And finally, what preventive measures should be taken to avoid civilization diseases?

Therefore, in the course of the symposium we will approach the topic in a multi-complex way and shall consider the issues related to the causes, effects, consequences and solutions to civilization diseases.

Our aim is to integrate the scientific community and create a forum for discussion for people representing various fields of science, such as medicine and health sciences, psychology, pedagogy, economics, law and ecology. Those who are passionate about the subjects of health and diseases are also welcome. Considering that civilization and social diseases affect every sphere of people’s lives, we strive to create a discussion panel aimed at exchanging knowledge, which could result in a joint fight against 21st century diseases.

The Foundation for the promotion of science and development TYGIEL will make every effort to ensure that this meeting contributes to the achievement of the assumed goals of the conference, and will provide you with pleasant atmosphere among specialists from various scientific disciplines and satisfaction from participation.

General information

As part of your participation in the conference, we offer you the opportunity to publish your scientific work in the form of a chapter in a scientific monograph (after publication, the work will be available as open access). A scientific monograph is a peer-reviewed scientific study, presenting the issues raised in an original and creative way (it includes both research and review works). In order to be included in the monograph, publications must additionally have a scientific character and receive a positive review. Published monographs meet the criteria considered in the evaluation assessment of scientific achievements, and are a rewarding way to present your knowledge.

Publisher of the publication:

The monograph will be published by TYGIEL Scientific Publishing House, which is included in the list of publishing houses that publish peer-reviewed scientific monographs, according to the declaration of the Minister of Education and Science.

Chapter submission:

Chapters for a scientific monograph may have a maximum of 3 authors. It is possible to deviate from the limit on the maximum number of authors, however, after prior notification of this fact by e-mail to the address and obtaining approval of the Organizing Committee.

Authors are obliged to submit their work according to the date specified on the event page under Deadlines. If there are delays in the preparation of the chapter, resulting in failure to submit the chapter by the deadline, please contact us in advance by email to make individual arrangements. Failure to meet the deadline may result in a delay in publication.

A chapter in a scientific monograph is a scientific work with a minimum of 20,000 characters with spaces. Before being published, each chapter is subjected to a review process.

Fulfillment of the above conditions allows the work to be submitted for review, which is carried out anonymously by a person with appropriate knowledge and competence (double-blind review model). Contact with the Corresponding Author regarding the review of the work takes place via e-mail.

After receiving a recommendation from the reviewer, the work is sent for publication.
